Procedures for Work-Related Injury or Illness:

(1) Contact Washington University Police Department (935-5555)

· WUPD can arrange transport if necessary

(2) For emergency treatment (severe or life-threatening injuries):

Go to Barnes Emergency Room (on Kingshighway Blvd., just east of Forest Park)

(3) For non-emergency treatment:

Go to Barnes Care (5000 Manchester Ave., St. Louis)

· notify Risk Management (935-5547) prior to obtaining treatment

· prior notification not necessary for Emergency Room treatment

· if non-emergency treatment is needed outside of Barnes Care hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), go to the Barnes Emergency Room

(4) Notify your supervisor

(5) Complete Washington University Injury/Illness form as soon as possible after an injury
